Topic: Migration from "standard" Postfix installation to iRedMail

Hello,

I have a lot of mail accounts on my old mail server. I was using Postfix + Dovecot, but without MySQL.

Is it possible to just create the same users into iRedAdmin, and "move" the mail folder to my new server ?

Any tips are welcome smile

Thanks,

Valty

It should be ok.

The only problem is, iRedMail stores mails in Maildir format, not mbox. If your old mail accounts are system accounts, mails are stored in mbox format, right? You should convert old mails to Maildir format first, then copy mailboxes to iRedMail server.

Yes, it's system mail accounts. Any idea to convert these folders to the mbox format ?

What's the current mailbox format? mbox or Maildir?

It's a "mail" directory for each user, with one file for each mail folder. So I think it's mbox already ?

It's mbox format.
