Topic: How does iredmail handle Backscatter ?

I would assume everyone who runs a mail server has had this problem of backscatter, just need feedback from the dev team on how this is handled and some pointers that can be used to avoid this.

Currently my experience shows that incoming mail just gets delivered straight to the LDA without checking it first. There are some options of  keeping the connection open while SpamAssassin gives it a negative score but this is not being done.

this thread has some of what i meant:

so if someone can share thier story on how they have hacked around the standard iredmail setup to achieve this would be great.

==== Provide basic information to help troubleshoot ====
- iRedMail version: 0.6.1
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: FreeBSD 8.2 , x64
- Any related log? Log is helpful for troubleshooting.

Would you mind pasting mail header of one backscatter?

Does my reply help a little? How about buying me a cup of coffee ($5) as an encouragement?
