Am using iRedAdminPro with user mailbox quotas.
Not  sure if I should post this in the iRedAdmin forum or here.

I am getting users which are using Thunderbird complaining that the mail server tells them they are over quota and then they are unable to delete any messages. When you try to delete a small box pops up saying "Unable to perform action on INBOX on mail server xxx - OVER QUOTA".

Obviously the one thing which should work still when a user is over quota is to delete messages.
Any other trick to delete them, or is there a setting to handle this. I can only find earlier forum messages related to the webmail, but this is Thunderbird.

Re: Cannot delete messages in Thunderbird when over quota

Usually, mail client will move deleted mails to Trash folder instead of deleting it on mail server (file system), but it causes issue like yours with this behave.

With Roundcube webmail, you can press key Shift+Delete to delete email directly (not move to Trash folder). Does this key work in Thunderbird?

Okay - I tried it and this key also works in Thunderbird.
Thanks a lot for the help. This was a simple handling!
Thanks again.
