Topic: fallback/relay gives postfix reject

Hi,

I am trying iRedMail to replace our mailservers in the future, but I met some issues I can't figure out yet. I will post them separately to keep things organized.

For some domains I want to act this server as a fallback for another mailserver, so the domains doesn't actually exist on this server. So I set the domain in PostfixAdmin to "relay"  or "virtual" and the fallback MX-box checked, but Postfix won't accept mail this domains and drops the message:

Relay access denied

But it is impossible to set all the email adresses for this domain, so it should accept all the mail for this domain and forward it to another mailserver who can handle the mail.

Any suggestions?

Best regards,

Quentin

EDIT/UPDATE: Found the solution. You need also a special alias for this. It is shown in the alias-menu of PostfixAdmin.

Hi Quentin,
Would you mind explaining How did you get Backup MX to work?
Also, what is the special alias you need to create?
Thanks for your time.
