Topic: Support for mail-groups with MySQL-Backend

Hi,

is there a possibulity to use mail-groups when using the MySQL-Backend?
I did not think about it when i decided to use MySQL as backend for iRedMail, but to manage alle distribution lists through aliases is a bit annoying wink

Thomas

You can use mailman, ezmlm for mail list.

Sure. The problem remains. Every distribution list is seperated from the user list. When a user is deleted, the distribution list does not automatically know about it. This is why groups are so handy wink

Re: Support for mail-groups with MySQL-Backend

This is perfertly solved in OpenLDAP backend solution. Maybe you'd like to try LDAP solution in a VMware/OpenVZ/Xen guest for testing smile

Read more about mail list/group implementation in LDAP backend solution:
http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic60-w … 90610.html

And iRed*Admin* will support LDAP-based mail list.

PS: iRedMail is easy to integrate Windows Active Directory, and support mail groups/list too.
