Topic: Groupware

IRM is excellent as is. However, it would double the fun if we had some sort of groupware. What I think is needed
- calendar
- task lists
- notes

I want to be able to provide folks with the opportunity to collaborate on all of the afore mentioned e.g. manage task lists together for some project etc. From a commercial pov, having some groupware feature create added value and thus a very good sales argument in case somebody wants to sell solutions based on/around IRM.

What's the general thinking towards an integrated groupware solution? imo it should be as lightweight and easy to maintain as possible.

Don't wait for me to do this, you can contribute integration document or shell script like iRedMail.

Sure. But before I would like to discuss what groupware etc. folks would want to have, what groupware functionality we really need, what programming language preference folks have etc.

Maybe some fat/heavy thing like horde is total overkill. As an alternative, it would be a nice to have thing if such thing would be available with some component we already use like for example roundcube http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1484013

the sugar now support ldap not very well, the new version 5.5 would be publish in October。I would test it.

We already integrate SugarCRM with iRedMail, it works.

But sugarcrm doesn't support complex LDAP filter before, and this will be changed in new version 5.5.
