Topic: [FIXED] Bug in Ubuntu 11.04

- iRedMail version: LDAP 1.6.1
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Ubuntu 11.04

The default Logrotate configuration files(Located at: /etc/logrotate.d) is misconfigured to use sysklogd, but in this ubuntu version the default is rsyslog.

The output for the cron job is

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/sysklogd not found.
error: error running non-shared postrotate script for /var/log/dovecot.log of '/var/log/dovecot.log '
invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/sysklogd not found.
error: error running non-shared postrotate script for /var/log/openldap.log of '/var/log/openldap.log '
invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/sysklogd not found.
error: error running non-shared postrotate script for /var/log/procmail.log of '/var/log/procmail.log '
invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/sysklogd not found.
error: error running non-shared postrotate script for /var/log/sieve.log of '/var/log/sieve.log '
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1

I just changed dovecot, openldap, procmail and sieve configuration files to use rsyslog instead sysklogd.

Thanks.

Ps.: I'm not sure if the rsyslog is used in older Ubuntu versions, in 10.04 I'm sure it also uses rsyslog.
