Topic: iRedMail Addon removal

Hi,

First of all I have to say that iRedMail is indeed the best available.

But I have one question. As per my requirements, I would like to remove the following items:

a) policyd
b) amavisd
c) clamd

I do not really need greylisting and anti virus and spam protection as far as we have different structure. If I just disable those items and remove them using yum, would iRedMail still be working properly?

Best Regards,

Maxo

Re: iRedMail Addon removal

a) To remove Policyd:

Remove 'check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:10031' and/or 'check_policy_service inet:127.0.0.1:10032' in Postfix config file main.cf, then it's safe to remove policyd package.

b + c) Amavid + ClamAV

Comment out 'content_filter = smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024' in Postfix config file main.cf. Then it's safe to remove Amavisd, ClamAV, SpamAssassin packages.

Note: ClamAV and SpamAssassin will be invoked by Amavisd, so if you disable Amavisd, those two are disabled too.
