I'd like to install iRedMail 0.74 on my OpenVZ VPS running Centos 5.7. I realize that the best install is one on a fresh system
but my VPS already came with apache, mysql, etc. Since I don't have anything relevant on it, I would gladly uninstall anything that presents a problem. Does someone maybe have a list of stuff I should remove?

I've tried running the uninstall script thus removing anything that would've been installed but my subsequent install fails because of this:

ldap_bind: Can't contact LDAP server (-1)

EDIT: Just found this http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic2688 … ailsh.html and this uninstall script cleaned out some stuff the original didn't. I'm gonna try installing now and report.

EDIT II: Yeah, that did it. So if someone needs to get rid of all the stuff that's already on your server, here are my tips:

- disable all repo's except official CentOS ones.
- use bash clear_iredmail.sh from the above link
- in case you have a failed install, delete config and .iRedMail.installation.status
- cd pkgs then bash get_all.sh
- cd .. then bash iRedMail.sh
- use bash for running scripts, not sh
