Topic: using squirrelmail instead of roundcube

Hello,

I am testing the iredmail version 0.7.3 (ldap) before deploying it.

In general, it has responded fine, but I find that roundcube has been slow and I am not very happy with the performance in general.

Since I have used squirrelmail in the past, I would like to know if anyone in this forum could please explain to me how difficult (or easy) it would be to use the squirrelmail instead of roundcube.

At the time, if possible, I would like to get some opinions how one compares over the other.

iRedMail supported SquirrelMail in old releases, but not anymore. Sorry.
It should be easy to setup SquirrelMail to work with iRedMail, post issues here for further discussion. smile

So far, I have downloaded squirrelmail  ver 1.4.22. I am kind of stumbling on the configuration.

The documentation says that it requires PHP and an IMAP software, which are already installed.

I figured that the path for the messages should be /var/vmail/vmail1, but  I cannot figure out what should be the path for the attachments. And without that, squirrelmail will not run.

Any ideas ?

SquirrelMail requires a sub-directory to store uploaded attachments.
