When ever I try to send out using SMTP I get:
550 Denied by policy

From what I understand from Googling is that my ISP IP that I have been assigned is blacklisted, I could be wrong.  But if this is the problem how do I turn off blacklist checking for outgoing SMTP?

Thanks.

Could you please paste related log in Postfix log file (/var/log/maillog)?

Re: Blacklist SMTP turn off

That's the thing, I get no log information, it just says connected and disconnected.

This is it:
Apr  2 17:19:39 server2 postfix/smtpd[19496]: connect from unknown[190.148.29.212]
Apr  2 17:20:19 server2 postfix/smtpd[19496]: CB5D25060989: client=unknown[190.148.29.212], sasl_method=PLAIN, sasl_username=www@microtronix-tech.com
Apr  2 17:20:26 server2 postfix/smtpd[19496]: lost connection after RSET from unknown[190.148.29.212]
Apr  2 17:20:26 server2 postfix/smtpd[19496]: disconnect from unknown[190.148.29.212]

And in the Telnet client I am trying this connection from I get this:
550 Denied by policy

After I enter DATA, not before.

When I try the exact same thing from the server connecting using:
telnet localhost smtp

It work's just fine, so SMTP is working.  But when I do it from outside at that IP I get knocked off.

Re: Blacklist SMTP turn off

No idea at all.

May be you should try Postfix setting "debug_peer_list" to get more detailed log.

debug_peer_list = 190.148.29.212
