Topic: [Contribution]passwordext plugin for roundcube

I made my first plugin for roundcube 0.3 stable, passwordext.

You can download it from here.

Obviously, based on original password plugin by Aleksander 'A.L.E.C' Machniak.

Current improvements: supports certain password strength checks (min length, alpha, digits, wrong copy/paste protection, username and domain not part of password). Check README for more details.

ToDos: force user to change password based on certain criteria.

Please report issues/request for improvements on the Google Code issue list.

Have fun with it.

P.S.
Translations are welcomed.

Havn't test your plugin yet, but i have one question:

Do you plan to use php-ldap module instead of Net_LDAP2 for changing LDAP password?

Current official password plugin uses Net_LDAP2, it works. But RHEL/CentOS doesn't provide php pear Net_LDAP2 module, and i contacted maintainer before to help to test migrate Net_LDAP2 to php-ldap, but not finished yet.

It would be GREAT If you can help to migrate it to php-ldap. smile

Re: [Contribution]passwordext plugin for roundcube

Unfortunately I don't have an LDAP-enabled installation to test it. I have access to around 5 servers, but all of them have MySQL backends.

Nevertheless, let me see what I can do about it. I'll give you a definitive answer within 48 hours.

You can use VMware/Xen/VirtualBox to install iRedMail with LDAP backend.
If it's impossible, we can provide you a Xen VPS for migration, Feel free to contact me smile
