Topic: iRedMail as a local mail server (with smarthost on the internet)

Hello everyone,
i just tested iRedMail and i really like it, so i also want  i to use on my local mail server.

My desired set up would be that iRedmail itself is able to recieve emails (but mainly fetches the mails from a remote pop3/imap mailbox where all emails from outside of my local lan are deliverd to (eg, the server where the MX-Record of my domain links to)) but sends every email via an external SMPT Server (again, this would be the server where the MX - Record links to).

What's the preferred setup to this ? (im using ubuntu 12.04)

iRedMail doesn't support this. You should try to install/configure fetchmail with iRedMail manually.
