Topic: iredapd and iredapd-rr services not updating logs

HI,

As per the configuration stated in : http://www.iredmail.org/wiki/index.php? … D/OpenLDAP
cat /etc/logrotate.d/iredapd settings changes the logs iredapd and iredapd-rr and compresses perfectly but the main issue is iredapd.log and iredapd-rr.log files are not getting updated once the .bz2 files are generated. everytime I have to restart the iredapd and iredapd-rr services then after it generates respective log files.

Is there any other settings required to prevent such logs?

Did you try restarting iRedAPD service(s) in postrotate section? For example:

    postrotate
        /etc/init.d/iredapd restart
        /etc/init.d/iredapd-rr restart
    endscript
