Topic: Wishlist for iRedAdmin-Pro-MySQL/PGSQL

Hey guys,

I wasn't able to find a recent wishlist-thread like that one for the LDAP-version - so I created this one to handle three feature-request.

  • [DONE] When deleting a mailbox, make it able (e. g. through a checkbox) to delete the folder for that mailbox from the server.

  • Have an overview of the members of an alias in the list of domain aliases (of course not for big aliases, e. g. only the first five members) so that one can get an overview without opening the detail page of a list

  • [DONE] Being able to add kind of nested aliases - means: if I created an alias contact@domain.com with for example two mailboxes from the same domain as members, maybe I would like to have sales@domain.com forwarding all mails to contact@domain.com and for that to the members of this alias - and if I add a member to contact@domain.com I don't have to edit sales@domain.com

These 3 requests were discussed before, so here's short answer:

1: [DONE] Deleting mailbox. Still no plan to make iRedAdmin-Pro access file system directly, so it's impossible.
3: [DONE] Nested alias account.
2: Overview of the members of an alias. Good idea, i will give it a try.

How about find it in domain list page (httpS://xxx/iredadmin/domains)? It's sorted by domain name by default.

Yea, but when you have more than 100 domains, its kinda a bit more than a few clicks to get to the domain we want, (go splitted by paginator (default 50/page)

a search feature probably better than listing the domain alphabetically (especially on large domain list),
eg we want to search domains ending in .net only
or domains containing 'moo' in their name
moocows.com
cowsgomoo.net

Give normal admins permissions to create new domains.

It would be nice to give customers freedom to create domains
as they need them without the help of global admin.

Hi.

What about changing own password by administrator?

I have a few domain-administrators who can log in and administrate their domains and accounts, but none of them can change his own password to admin panel.

Ehm, and a one small thing more...

When I add a position to white list, which contains IP address, I cannot insert a comment. For instance:

  81.919.9.88  #our office

Sometimes text "# autowhitelisted host" is automatically added.

1. Is this path really correct? When I log in as domain admin, the path to dashboard (summary view of server) is: http://my_domain.com/admin/dashboard. There is nothing in http://my_domain.com/admin/profile/ and subdirectories. "nothing found" or error 404 displays.
2. Why password change form is not linked directly in admin panel?

It should be http://my_domain.com/admin/profile/admin/password/admin@domain.ltd in your case. Replace "admin@domain.ltd" by the real admin email address.

Can be added a per-domain "Advanced" tab (same as users) to enable/disable POP3/SMTP/IMAP/... for a whole domain?

That will allow for example the global admin not to give SMTP service to some domains/customers, leaving anyway them able to administer user/aliases in their self managed domains.

The per-domain "Advanced" tab should override the per-user one, making "greyed" in user tab the options not checked in domain tab, and letting the domain admin decide to enable/disable the remaining.

This will be really great for multi domain/multi customers installations.

Thanks for your attention!

Note: disabling SMTP should let anyway the users to send mail using webmail, but disable the external access to SMTP service to send email from their own mail clients.

Per-domain disabled mail services has been implemented in development edition (Sept 4, 2016), will be available in next final release.

You can modify related LDAP/MySQL queries in Postfix/Dovecot, query domain settings while querying per-user SMTP/IMAP/... service restriction.

Will consider achieving this in feature release.

not with 100+ domains ....  ;-)

In the same context it would be easy to let Iredmail generate them by default. Not just for Thunderbird, but for other popular mails clients as well.

Feature proposal: Accounting

Hello Zhang,

when you have a lots of customers, you would like to know how much traffic was caused by them sending and receiving messages.
amavisd is already keeping a table with all messages sent and received for a mailbox with its sizes.
Now we should create some accounting tables. Basically one table which stores the last timestamp when accounting was done, another table with accounting records.
Regulary (typically each day at midnight) run a SQL query to get the sum of all messages sent and received, grouped by mailbox and then adding this record to the accounting table.
In the iRedAdmin-Pro admin panel, you can then list all mailboxes and the traffic caused by each within a period (from- and to-date). The last line represents the sum of traffic caused by all together.
