Topic: Database on a different server

Hi today I've tried the impossible. Change all the places where is database connection mentioned and change the IP address. I'm talking impossible because I have no Idea where all those 127.0.0.1s are and I've found them almost everywhere. So I wasted all afternoon and evening. The best thing would be to replace it with a hostname which I could specify during installation. Then I could move database as I would wish.

If you can point me to a quick fix I would be more than happy to contribute code to iRedMail installer script. But for now I think I will install it on the same system.

==== Required information ====

OK this is just laughable. Yes I didn't look there and that was the reason why it was impossible. smile

Thank you.
