Topic: Can't receive mail from external

Hi everybody!

I configured a mail server with iredmail with 2 address ifaces: 192.168.5.2/30  and ext ip ex. 70.70.70.70    (192.168.5.1/30 is his gateway)

everything in LAN working, i can send and receive from internal and WAN connection too.... (i can ping, ssh ecc....)

(so both lan and wan's working)

my problem is the following: when i have receive mails from outside (gmail, yahoo....) I can't do that

here my tail -vf /var/log/mail.log

while if I send a mail from my mailserver to gmail account, and working. then, if i try to respond to that mail, IT WORKING

my mail server (mail@mydomain.com) receive from gmail account (user@gmail.com)   or other...


what can I do?

You say "IT WORKING", then what's your issue? Sorry, i don't quite understand.

try to be easy with examples:

from  example@gmail.com   to     example@mydomain.com    *DOESN'T WORK*      (INCOMING MAIL)

from example@mydomain   to   example@mydomain.com    *WORKS*  (OUTCOMING MAIL)      THEN, SAME MAIL RECEIVED ON GMAIL, i click on "REPLY" and from example@gmail.com   to      example@mydomain.com    *WORKS*   (!!!)

Could you please show us the bounce message in Gmail? Gmail will report why it cannot deliver this email to example@mydomain.com.

no mate. In Gmail I don't have any answer....  it's a normal sent message
