Topic: warning: do not list domain in BOTH mydestination and virtual_mailbox

Hi,

I'm getting the following error repeatadly in the maillog.

Apr 23 01:08:15 mail postfix/trivial-rewrite[4629]: warning: do not list domain DOMAIN in BOTH mydestination and virtual_mailbox_domains

While I know how to fix it and also understand that it does not seem to cause any problems, I'd like to understand why this is happening.
I just made a fresh install from 0.6.0 trunk but had the same also on my old 0.5.1 install.

Thanks for any response,
Phil

If your server hostname is same as your virtual domain name, it happens.

Hi, I know it's an old thread but I was still wondering if this was a major concern to have or I could ignore the warning altogether ?

thanks

You cannot ignore this warning, because Postfix cannot correctly deliver emails locally.
