Topic: Auth failed with bad encoding password

before was : roundcube auth failed for new user after add SOGo

Hello i follow this tuto to add SOGO to my server. i search to have calendar for thundirbird

so it works  user who exist on server before the instal can log into both webmail /mail and /SOGo
and new user can not connect to roundcude

i open phpldapadmin but services are the same between user with roundcube acces and the other

Does resetting password with iRedAdmin for this user work for you?

No it is not server error

i forgot to say .. when trying to reset password it is not working with

internal server error blanck page

for trying i create an other user and roundcube working great and reset password too !  but not for two user before

where does it come ?

Hello it's seems to come from password size or content..

the user password not work but 1234 or simple password solve the problem

is it encoding trouble ? or password size ?

so i use phpldapadmin to insert  complexe password for user but the same trouble
imap not work too

*) Could you please export LDIF data of the user which doesn't work?
*) How did you change user password?
*) Which password mech do you use? MD5, SSHA or plain text?
*) Which password mech does SOGo use?

Hello i change the Post title cause i thing is more due to encoding trouble than product addons

The problem is reproductible on my server with any password with  letter : ù  at any user

i don't try with ï or â

but this is what you ask for

for changing password after create with bad one i use both has admin phpldapadmin with plainText or iredmail that change password
with a ù inside can not logon replace with u and it 's ok

juste need to know and it is usable !

for crypto i use default instals is SSHA and is visible in the  ldap export so for SOGO i don't really know why is the only acces working with password with a [ù]

juste the path for config file
/var/lib/sogo/GNUstep/Defaults/.GNUstepDefaults
and the config file has this but is it efficent? i dont know : <key>NGUseUTF8AsURLEncoding</key>

I guess many applications don't support non-ascii characters as password.
