Topic: Setup mail server and use external account to send and recieve mails.

Hi,
I am using a local  mail server (postfix & dovecote) .

I have a mailing system hosted on indiatimes isp and i have a mail test@domain.com and i add 60 mail allias under it. now i have same email address in local mail server which i have created in alliase.

now i want to use (test@domain.com) id to send all external (non to local email address) mails through this master email id and pop3 server also recive all external mails through this id and distribute them to their alliase mails..

To receive email hosted on other pop capable servers use fetchmail, both squirrelmail and roundcube has it.

To send emails utilize postfix smarthost feature.

Thanks for your great advice can u tell me how can i configure postfix smarthost feature I don't know how to use this.

I want to use domain mail.lotus.edu.in
User is campus@lotus.edu.in ( it has 60 alliase mails)
Pass:    xyz
its smtp requires authentication in outlook.

Please guide me.

Proper way is to ask admin of smtp server that you wan to use for help.
As admin he should be aware of who, why, how much and when can relay messages trough his servers.
As admin he is the best source for help that you need.
