Hi gentlemen! Good morning.
I need help to migrate one zimbra open source edition to iredmail server
The zimbra server already runs on a CentOS 5.10 64bits
The iRedmail server will run on a CentOS 5.10 64bits too.

I know how to create the accounts, configure dns server. But, I don`t know how to migrate the mailboxes to the new server.
The old server, all the accounts use IMAP, all emals are stored on the server. They have a lot of emails...

So, I need help to migrate the mailboxes to the new server, the users need the old mails and all of them will use webmail instead of local folders.

Can any one help me to solve this challenge? It will be very nice to iRedmail and off course, us!

Best regards,

If Zimbra stores mail messages in Maildir format, you can simply copy user's mailbox to iRedMail server. Of course you should copy them to correct maildir path on iRedMail.

Hi hata_ph my friend!!

Thanks for give me the path and the tutorial.
With some adjust on imapsync command line I could connect into the Zimbra mail and transfer my messages and folders to my iredmail server. FAST!

Scope of test: Virtualized environment, one CentOS 5.10 64 bits ZImbra 7.2. one CentOS 5.10 64 bits iredmail 0.8.4

Works very well!! Now I can migrate my client server without headaches lol

You got 5 stars!

Zhang, thanks for the answer too but Zimbra don`t use the maildir format, it`s other, one crazy one...

Thank you guys, topic solved. iRedMail rocks!!!
