As a previous hosting company owner I have always been afraid of other people's scripts on my servers.  But I love iRedMail.  ...should have used it years ago.

Now the question...


I run a domain as a catchall.  I use this personally for on the fly creation of emails for various mailing lists, forums, subscriptions, etc.

However, I need the ability to "shut off" the email should it be compromised by spammers.

Specifically how would you recommend I implement the "shut off" of an address?

Does your "shut off" mean disable this domain or account? If so, you can set 'accountStatus=disabled' in domain/user LDAP object.
If you have iRedAdmin (either open source edition or iRedAdmin-Pro), you can disable domain/user in its profile page. Screenshot for your reference (Checkbox: Enable this domain):

Hi Zhang,

That doesn't work.

The address I am trying to "shut off" or "block" doesn't exist, as it is a catch all.

A LDAP account does not exist (although I did create one for a catch all and try to block it.  It did not work)

So, it could be forum@xxx.biz, xyz@xxx.biz or any other catch all user.

What is the best way to block these "on -the-fly" users?

Did you try to block those email addresses with "check_recipient_access"?
