Topic: iRedMail + attachments

Hi guys!
In my industry sadly people send emails with attachments. Nothing big...3-10MB but every 3 months it can get up to 6-9GB.
I would like to migrate fully from gmail to iRedMail, but I don't want to spend money on vps with huge disk.

My question is how can I correctly configure iRedMail for this particular situation?
My thought is to somehow have attachments as files and "older" emails' attachment store on a remote NAS. It would be much slower but space on NAS is cheaper than vps.

Any ideas? Even simple "go to this link and read" would be very helpful for me. Cause mainly I don't know what question I should ask to get answer I need.

You can write a script as Postfix transport program, then extract attachments and store them on NAS.
I wrote one in 2008, used to extract attachments from email and upload them via HTTP POST.
