Topic: Ubuntu 14.04 MySQL

======== Required information ====
- iRedMail version: 0.8.6
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): MySQL
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Ubuntu 14.04
- Related log if you're reporting an issue:

iRedMail script installs MySQL but fails to set up any users and DBs on a fresh 14.04 install.  Can this be fixed or do I need to wait for an updated version?

I saw on another post (linked below) that it was working fine with PGSQL on Ubuntu 14.04.

Re: Ubuntu 14.04 MySQL

Using PGSQL as the backend iRedMail 0.8.6 does work with Ubuntu 14.04 with one change to the respective config file.

FILE: iRedMail-0.8.6/conf/postgresql
under the Debian/Ubuntu distro
    export PGSQL_VERSION='9.3'  #Changed from export PGSQL_VERSION='9.1'

The new LTS shipps with postgresql 9.3 wink

I dont quite know what is going awry with the MySQL backend though?  any ideas would be appreciated.

P.S. Ubuntu doesn't release 14.04 beta yet, you're really a big fan of Ubuntu. smile

Does my reply help a little? How about buying me a cup of coffee ($5) as an encouragement?
