Topic: Accidently Deleted Postmaster on iredmail setup using MySQL

==== Required information ====
- iRedMail version:
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:
- Related log if you're reporting an issue:
====

Now I can't log in to /iredmail

What can I do to get back in?

How can I promote an existing user to get back in?

Or is it best to just redo the whole server?

Thank you.

Re: Accidently Deleted Postmaster on iredmail setup using MySQL

Please ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS show us basic info of your iRedMail server, so that you can get solution much faster:

==== Required information ====
- iRedMail version:
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:
- Related log if you're reporting an issue:
====

So, which backend do you use? OpenLDAP, MySQL or PostgreSQL?

*) With OpenLDAP, please add LDAP attribute/value pair "domainGlobalAdmin=yes" to another existing mail user with phpLDAPadmin, then it becomes a global admin.

*) With MySQL or PostgreSQL, please set 'isglobaladmin=1' in SQL table "vmail.mailbox" for one existing mail user, then it becomes a global admin.

Re: Accidently Deleted Postmaster on iredmail setup using MySQL

No. Changing this on another user does not allow that user iredadmin access.

Then set both 'isadmin=1' and 'isglobaladmin=1' and try again please.
