Topic: Why is ubuntu 14.04 recommended?

Why is ubuntu 14.04 recommended as dist for iRedMail?

Debian has a longer record for stability and security.
Debian is recommend yes, but the ubuntu is red marked. What does this mean?
If I install iRedMail on Debian 7. Is there any features in iRedMail that Debian 7 will not support?

I apologize if the confusion comes from my bad English.

It says:

Note: Distribution releases marked in red are recommended if you choose that distribution.

Which means, if you choose Ubuntu, 14.04 is recommended.
