Hi, I have a strange problem. Sometimes emails is sent from client (MacOsX) but the email won't be delivered to the sent folder.

Is there any log or debug mode I can read/start to se where the email is disappearing. Dovecot?

According to mail.log the email is sent and received by the remote email recipient. I've tried fgrep for the email in mailboxes without any success. Can I use doveadm in some smart way to search for email with specific message id?

Re: Sent but not in sent folder

Sent email will not be saved by SMTP protocol itself, it must be saved by mail client like Outlook, webmail, etc. So if it doesn't work, there might be something wrong with your mail client program. I have no idea about this issue yet, it should work just fine.

Did you try other mail client program?

Also, please turn on debug mode in Dovecot to see if there's any related error while mail client trying to save sent mail.
