Re: iRedMail can't send or recieve

I have to ask these questions.

Can you ping outside of your IP address block?
Are you using an internet routable IP?
Are you plugged directly into the internet or are you going through a firewall/gateway?
Do you have a DNS server setup so that your mailserver can resolve to the outside world? i.e. can you ping google.com?

We'll go from here.

Re: iRedMail can't send or recieve

Just at a glance it appears you may have a DNS issue, I'll look at it later tonight and give you a more definitive answer.

Why you prefer Skype IM instead of forum/mail list?

cause, when i'm talking in skype i can say everything at the moment.. and all issues and decisions are made much faster, while here I have to wait quite a while and write something not known whether it will benefit me

Re: iRedMail can't send or recieve

Sorry I missed you last night, I was called in to work becuase of a server failure.

You definetly have DNS issues, my recommendation is to start over w/your DNS, and make sure you setup MX records.

By using DNS to resolve your server I cannot attach to it (your mail server), by using your IP address I can. By using the IP address I can also run the SMTP commands manually.

My recommendation is to contact your Domain Provider and have them help you set up your DNS, it is generally straight forward but the user interfaces all have their own unique process.

ZhangHuangbin is urging you to use the forum so we may all learn.
