I have a question about the size and amount of stored emails shown in the dashboard (under system information).
It appears that we have about 10000 stored emails ~ 1.36GB, however going into the mail accounts only 10% of that amount of emails can be seen (number of messages at the bottom in roundcube).

I'm guessing the 90% is just spam that gets stored, now my question is, does that 90% ever get deleted? What is the expiration period? Otherwise I can see the server filing the HDD in a couple of weeks...

I suggest you force Dovecot to re-calculate mailbox quota by following this tutorial:
