Considering we are dropping support for Apache, no. There is nothing to stop you setting up Lighttpd with iRedMail yourself, but as Zhang is a lone developer he doesn't have the time to support multiple Web Servers. iRedMail will ship with only Nginx in the future, but you can always swap it out for anything you prefer, or even run multiple alongside each other.

As 7t3chguy mentioned, you're free to add additional software to iRedMail server after installation completed.

It's unnecessary and not a good idea to ship two components with same features, it brings more workload for maintenance.
