Hi All,

I am new in using and installing iRedMail, I have acquired the Pro version and its been installed and is running fine. Now I need to upgrade to 0.9.2 version. I have already run the iRedAdmin-Pro upgrade to 2.1 but it seems that it does not upgrade the 0.9.0 to 0.9.2 automatically as I thought. How do I go about doing that? is there another script to do that? do I run the install script for 0.9.2 version? I can't risk testing as I am running a production system.

Re: Upgrade from 0.9.0 to 0.9.2

Unfortunately as the vast majority of the installs get customized, even slightly - an automatic updater wouldn't work, so instead there are step by step guides; you will have to follow two, as you are two versions behind:
http://iredmail.org/docs/upgrade.iredma … 0.9.1.html
and then
http://iredmail.org/docs/upgrade.iredma … 0.9.2.html

Re: Upgrade from 0.9.0 to 0.9.2

Thanks for the prompt reply. So basically we follow the steps by updating the relevant ports and the lines which start with "Fixed:"? Correct?

Regarding iRedAPD, I don't find it as a port on FreeBSD, do I download the latest tarball and run the upgrade script? How do I check current version installed?

Re: Upgrade from 0.9.0 to 0.9.2

Please also note that there is a bug (syntax error) in the installation script for version 0.9.2 in functions/packages_freebsd.sh in line 921 it should be databases and not database (so this results in an error saying it can not find the path specified.

Re: Upgrade from 0.9.0 to 0.9.2

Thanks for that Zhang Huangbin.

I still need to know about the iRedAPD update and how to check current version and how to update (Please note I am using FreeBSD).

I am deploying several systems and all with iRedadmin-Pro, I have deployed 3 already and need to know about how to keep them up to date as easy as possible.

The clients seem to be happy with the interface and ease of use.

http://www.iredmail.org/docs/iredapd.releases.html
There is an upgrade guide link on that changelog page

Re: Upgrade from 0.9.0 to 0.9.2

Hi,

Thanks, I have already read that, but how do I see which version I have now?

Re: Upgrade from 0.9.0 to 0.9.2

iRedAPD version number is written in file /opt/iredapd/libs/__init__.py.
