i mean if a user is on vacation and he or she wants to set a notification to all those who would email him / her will recieve that he or she is on vacation.

Which version of iRedMail do you use?
Roundcube in iRedMail-0.5.0-rc1 has this feature. Or you can install the lastest roundcube-0.3-svn version, it ships managesieve plugin which support vacation feature.

Read the upgrade docs in postfixadmin.
if you use 0.5RC1, you can check the roundcube ,setting the filter.
@ shake / zhang, I forgot to tell you guys that I added atmail and used it as the webmail client in replace for roundcube..

But you can upgrade roundcube standalone.
