Topic: Dovecot 2.2 on RHEL6?

It looks like atrpms, from whence you pulled your Dovecot 2.1 package, has Dovecot 2.2 out. But, I don't want to just upgrade if it's not something you've tested and qualified on RHEL6. And, since your repos still have 2.1, I'm guessing not.

So, is there a timeline for you to switch from Dovecot 2.1 to Dovecot 2.2 on RHEL6?

ATrpms.net doesn't offer Dovecot-2.2.10 which was released on Nov 25, 2013, but the latest version is 2.2.18 which was released on May 15, 2015. There're many bug fixes and improvements between 2.2.10 and 2.2.18, i personally don't want to use 2.2.10 for CentOS 6 in this case.

UPDATE: i just sent email to 2 (ATrpms.net) Dovecot RPM maintainers, ask for help to build Dovecot-2.2.18 for CentOS 6. I asked for help before, but no reply at all. Hope i will get reply this time.

Hmm... looking at the spec file... http://dl.atrpms.net/all/dovecot.spec ... it might be as trivial as changing the version number in there to be 2.2.18 and then doing an rpm src rebuild.

We have dovecot 2.2.20 working perfectly on centos 6.
