I try to install iredmail on Debian 8 but I`ve problem with cluebringer package.

the error this is:

E: Unable to locate package postfix-cluebringer

I don`t understand because this problem should be fix on this release.

This error is unexpected. Because iRedMail doesn't install Cluebringer on Debian 8, because cluebringer package is not available in Debian 8.

Any other error message during iRedMail installation?

My version of Debian is 8.1 sorry.

The cluebringer package I do that not exist on Debian 8 release. But the problemas is that when I see the error the install is stopped. Then I can't continue with the installer. I'd like know if is possible continue the install without install cluebringer package of course.

What's the content in /etc/debian_version?

There must be something wrong in iRedMail, it shouldn't install cluebringer on Debian 8.
Is it possible to restore your server to a fresh server OS, then let me login to your server for further debug?

I figured it out, caused by file /etc/lsb-release.

- if  /etc/lsb-release exists, iRedMail considers it as Ubuntu.
- if no /etc/lsb-release, but /etc/debian_version exists, iRedMail considers it as Debian.

According to debian package site, only package 'debian-edu-config' ships /etc/lsb-release, but it's not installed on your server:

So, to make iRedMail works on your server, just remove file '/etc/lsb-release', then start iRedMail installer.

I improved iRedMail to check 'DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu' in /etc/lsb-release, so next release of iRedMail can correctly detect your Debian system.
