Hello!

I would like to replace my current hostname by a new domain name without a standard TLD ( XXXXX.digital )

I've found on the forum how to do the changes.

My question is, do you think this can make troubles or break something ?
This kind of TLD is may be not supported by every programs...

I think it should be fine with iRedMail, the problem is, many mail servers may check your PTR record of hostname (usually it's used as HELO identity), outbound email MAY fail or been rejected due to no PTR record, because it's like a spammer.

Ok, but if I set the PTR to my XXXX.digital domain (my IP address with the reverse DNS XXXX.digital), this should be good, no?

It should work, but not quite sure if it's a invalid TLD. You can try it.
