I had many deferred messages in my system in last few days.

The problem is you didn't actually read the log you pasted here.

Thanks... I look also in this forum searching for answers and I try to change the collation in vmail database: some tables have an ascii collation and I changed to utf8-general.
Now the problems seems to go away.

The strange is that this iredmail/mysql installation is working by 3 years now and I don't understand why this happens now...

The error is change, this mornig I had many many Temporary lookup failure and  virtual_alias_maps map lookup problem like this...
