Topic: MD5 password scheme not authenticating for newly created mail account

My server is runining Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS , mail accounts are in mysql backend,Web server is Apache and i am using the Ireadmin opensource version.

I moved to iredmail v0.9.0 from postfixadmin my former password scheme was md5crypt. When using md5 scheme with my old mysql database i am able to authenticate. But on creating a new user in the Iredmail admin panel the new user is unable to authenticate and access their account and the mysql password is in plain text and not encrypted in the mysql table .Appealing to Any iredmail users out there to advise where could i be going wrong in my settings.
