Hi,

I am not using the Pro version of iRedAdmin ...
How is it possible for me to see spams before they are erase by the system's script ?
Is there any free tools ofr this ?

*) If you configure Amavisd to quarantine Spam/Virus into SQL database, you can use SQL command line tool to get RAW message.

*) If you quarantine spam/virus to file system, you can find it under the directory which is defined in '$QUARANTINEDIR =' in /etc/amavis/conf.d/*.

I have long time ago, configured my system to quarantine spam/virus to sql

file 20-debian_defaults:

$QUARANTINEDIR = "$MYHOME/virusmails";

Where is MYHOME defined ?

File from 50-user:

$banned_files_quarantine_method = 'sql:';
$banned_quarantine_to = 'banned-quarantine';

Today I would to reverse, meant to sent my spams to a folder like Junk (as example) to avoid any "mystakes".

What should be the right procedure to reverse ?

In /etc/amavis/conf.d/50-user:

*) Set '$final_spam_destiny = D_PASS;'.
*) Comment out below 2 lines:

#$spam_quarantine_to = 'spam-quarantine';
#$spam_quarantine_method = 'sql:';

*) Uncomment below line:

$spam_quarantine_method = undef;

*) Restart Amavisd service.

Doesn't seems to work ... Or I do not have any spam yet ...
How to check this ? I was looking in /var/log ... But didn't find anything yet ...

How did you check whether it works?

Please make sure you don't have duplicate settings in amavisd config file, the last one (of duplicated settings) will be used.

1) My Junk folder is still empty ....
2) Concerning the amavis config, you have asked me to uncomment: "$spam_quarantine_method = undef;"
But from the amavis conf file it seems that this option means:  "undef, do not quarantine mail." when "'local:spam-%i-%m', quarantine mail on local file system." (??) Or is it dovecot who manage ?

Oh, my mistake. Please comment out all '$spam_quarantine_method =', or set

$spam_quarantine_method = 'local:spam-%i-%m';

Restart Amavisd and try again.

Did Amavisd detect any SPAM? Try this:

grep 'SPAM' /var/log/mail.log

It means you don't have Perl module perl-Mail-SPF-Server. Same meaning of other error log lines.

iRedMail will install all package dependencies, i have no idea why your server doesn't have them.

I am working on this problem

I have had to install "Mail::SPF" with the "force install Mail::SPF"

When doing a "amavisd-new debug-sa"

BUT: cpan[3]> install Error
         Error is up to date (0.17024).

BUT:  cpan[4]> install Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA
          Crypt::OpenSSL::RSA is up to date (0.28).

etc ....

All errors are from the same line number 209/717  ??

The line number doesn't matter here, it just complains missing different perl modules.
