Hi I just installed iRedMail in a VM. I have successfully installed it and was able to send mail in my created domain and to external email like Yahoo and Gmail.

But my issue is I cannot receive email coming from Yahoo or Gmail.

I tried reading but I need to set-up A Record or MX Record but I'm new to this. Can you please let me know how to set-up this? I need detailed instructions if possible. Thanks a lot.

If you don't run your own DNS server, then you should go to your DNS vendor's web site, vendor always provides a web admin panel for customers to manage their DNS records.

I am creating the mail server with an Active Directory setting which has DNS Server on it as well.

Mail Server > Active Directory > Internet

So basically, I can add the MX Record in my Active Directory right? Will check with my Active Directory then. Thanks.

With Windows AD, it's able to add MX record for mail domain. I suggest you do a quick research with Google.

What's the bounce message returned to Gmail/Yahoo account? Bounce message usually contains detailed technical info, we need them for troubleshooting.

So latest update for this one is I added A and MX records already in the domain in domain.com for our registered domain pointing to my test mail server.

The real domain I replaced with: sample.com
And real yahoo mail account replaced with: sample@yahoo.com.

Yes. That's the full bounce message I got.

Anyway. I have assigned the static IP of my ISP in A record in domain.com for this one and added the hostname of my mail server in MX Record.

I have enabled port 25 in our IPCOP and forward incoming emails to my test mail server.

So this is basically the setting just to give further inputs:

Mail Server > Active Directory > IPCOP (For Firewall) > Internet
