Topic: AUTH DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 NTLM LOGIN PLAIN even when SASL not active

When I run a program to send email, I echo debug and I see that the server is replying with

reply: '250-AUTH DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5 NTLM LOGIN PLAIN\r\n'

whereas in the previous setup the same reply was

reply: '250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN\r\n'

Why is this happening? What do I need to comment out so that I get response from server as
reply: '250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN\r\n'

when sending email
