Hallo,

some people can't send me email. They are getting the following error message:

: host example.com[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] said: 554 5.7.1
: Helo command rejected: ACCESS
DENIED. Your email was rejected because the sending mail server appears to
be on a dynamic IP address that should not be doing direct mail delivery
(xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx) (in reply to RCPT TO command)

The IP-address of the sender is definitively not dynamic. What can I do to solve the issue?

Re: Couldn't receive emails from some senders

This is likely not an issue in your end... the sender is sending emails from either a dynamic IP or it is passing an internal IP in the message header without properly sanitizing it. Check your server logs and you will find it...

I would recommend for you to let them know about the issue, else you can whitelist the host if you trust them enough.

Could you help me? I don't know how to whitelist the IP.

Re: Couldn't receive emails from some senders

As @rafaelr mentioned, it's issue on your friends' servers, not yours.

Many spams are sent by machine with dynamic IP address, so dynamic ip address is not welcome in mail service, most DNSBL services will reject them, e.g. spamhaus.org.

With iRedMail-0.8.7, you can whitelist them with Cluebringer webui: https://[your_server]/cluebringer/
Note: iRedMail drops Cluebringer support since iRedMail-0.9.3.
