Since I install the Iredmail server I'm having the issue that the emails that any users sends and gets bounced for any reason (the recipient doesn't exist for example) are being notified to the senders multiple times (every time that the email, wich is in the deferred queue, is  sent again). I would like that this only happens one time. What option of postfix should I try?? Any ideas??

Anybody?? Let me try to explain it again.

When a user sends an email  to a recipient that doesn't exists (local or remote recipient) postfix does what it's supossed to do: takes that email and put's it on the deferred queue, and notifies the sender that tha email couldn't be sended (an email like: "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" and the reason why the emai wasn't delivered). So far so good.

The problem comes when the queue manager scans deferred queue and tries to send that email again. Every time that this happens a new email like "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" is sent to the user again.

Why this happens? How do I change it? I think that the correct way would be that the user only gets 1 notification, even if the queue manager fails to deliver the email a second or third or infinite times before the email is deleted from the queue permanently.

Ideas??

Please show us full mail body of this "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" email. We need the technical info in this email for troubleshooting.

Ok, here's the mail. Please note that I purposely sent it to an address that didn't exist and I received multiple copies of it until I decided to delete the mail from the queue using webmin.
