Hi guys,
I'am having an issue with Roundcube which stopped sending emails with "pop-up" saying "Sending message...".
I have upgraded it from 1.2.0 to 1.2.3 with no effect (keep having the same problem).

When I push the Send button in the Roundcube, I see the pop-up "Sending message..." and it stays on for 5 minutes. After that I was getting an error message with 1.2.0, but no error message is displayed with 1.2.3, even though the composed email stays opened and is not send. 

I must point out that SOGo and desktop email client sends emails with no problems, therefore it's Roundcube related only.

Here is relevant part of my /var/log/maillog:

I've found an workaround. By changing configuration as follows it immediately began to work.

from:
$config['smtp_server'] = 'tls://127.0.0.1';
$config['smtp_port'] = 587;

to:
$config['smtp_server'] = 'ssl://127.0.0.1';
$config['smtp_port'] = 465;

I keep the 465 for the old clients, so it's probably not the best solution, but works for now.
Any idea how to fix the localhost:587 way?

iRedMail have port 587 by default, but doesn't have port 465 enabled by default. Seems you changed Postfix settings.

Thank you for replay Zhang,
yes I have added the legacy 465 two months ago in order to add compatibility with the old clients as I mentioned in the first post. I did used official tutorial in order to allow it: http://www.iredmail.org/docs/enable.smtps.html

The port 587 was working along with the 465 and then, suddenly it stopped working with Roundcube only.
I suspect it happened after yum update as there were quite a lot of changes - most notably upgraded php which could cause this behaviour.

Hi Zhang,
Yes I did and the TLS works elsewhere just fine (Apple Mail/SOGo). It's only Roundcube which cannot login via it.

smtpd_tls_cert_file = /etc/postfix/ssl/mail-cert.pem
smtpd_tls_key_file = /etc/postfix/ssl/mail-key.pem

According to the log in first post, it's an issue related to ssl cert -- it happens when Roundcube connects to port 587. but i cannot figure out why with such few log lines. You may try to turn on SMTP debug in Roundcube and try again. FYI:
http://www.iredmail.org/docs/debug.roundcubemail.html

Note: we need the "smtp_debug" option.
