Topic: Not getting emails

Hello,

I set up iRedMail and can get to the user mail login. However, when I test the system by sending an email from one user to the admin user and from the admin user to the user, no one gets any mail. What are some issues / configurations I should look at to resolve this?

Thank you for your help.
Chris

Re: Not getting emails

Do you have correct DNS records (A, MX) for your mail domain name?

Thank you for your reply ZhangHuangbin. The server and clients are on a private local network and I'm accessing the email client via the server's IP address (172.30.5.254/mail). I'm testing the setup via my laptop, a small 4 port SMC switch, and the server. Is there something I'm missing?

Thank you.

Re: Not getting emails

In this case, you have to check Postfix log file to figure it out. I guess Amavisd or ClamAV service is not running.
FYI, file locations:

Thank you.

I looked at the log file and see a lot of the following,
connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024: Connection refused)

What would be causing this?

Thanks.
