1. Can IredAdmin-pro be installed on an existing iRedAdmin server or does it have to be a fresh install?

2. Your iRedAdmin-pro install doc only talks about using apache. Am I correct that it will also work with nginx?

3. Is there a doc for installing iRedAgmin-pro with nginx?

iRedAdmin-Pro can be installed on existing iRedMail server. FYI:

Yes. If you chose to install iRedAdmin during iRedMail installation, you can follow link above to upgrade it to iRedAdmin-Pro. Just few steps, very easy.

Thanks. I missed that doc.

Can the install run unattended?

I have an Ansible play that installs iRedMail and I would want to add iRedAdmin-Pro to that.
I am envisioning running the unattended iRedMail play and then adding a role that would install iRedAdmin-Pro at the end.

Does that sound reasonable?

During iRedMail installation, install iRedAdmin open source edition. Then follow doc below to install iRedAdmin-Pro:

As you can see, it's very easy (just extract, then run the "bash upgrade_iredadmin.sh"). So of course you can do it with Ansible.
