Topic: Cannot send and receive email from the outside (Yahoo, gmail, etc)?

======== Required information ====
- iRedMail version 0.9.7
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Ubuntu 14.04
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): MySQL
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): APache
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? : Free
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

When i installed iRedmail in my localhost, all gonna be ok. I can send and receive email to all of user in my localhost.
But when i tried iRedmail to my VPS using Public IP, and then i tried to send email to outside, my email cannot delivered. Event roundcube give status "Email sent successfully".

Also when i tried to send email from outside (yahoo, gmail, etc) to my email, i cannot receive the email.

i've configured the dns for VPS.

Need a clue, please

Amavisd service is not running. Please restart 'amavis' service and check again:

Also, there's a "connection timed out", if all emails you sent out have this error, you may need to check firewall.

For amavis service, i've restarted and the service have been run. But connection still refused.

Also with firewall, i've checked and firewall is not actived. But connection still time out.

After restarting amavisd, please check log file to make sure no errors which cause amavisd quits/stops immediately.

Also, why there is a warning "Connection Timed out". You said to check my firewall, i've checked it and all going well.
Any advices again ?

Can you reach other mail server (port 25) on this server? for example, run command:

telnet mail.iredmail.org 25

Does your ISP block port 25?

My ISP doesn't block port 25.
I've checked port using "netstat -nltp", and find like this following image :

port 10024,10025, and 10026 only listen for local address 127.0.0.1.
How i change from local address to my IP Public ? (ex : 125.777.888.999:10024, 125.777.888.999:10025, 125.777.888.999:10026)

So i can send and receive email from outside, not only local ?

For issue "Connection Refused" in amavisd, i've fixed it. All ports 10024, 10025, and 10026 have been LISTEN in my public IP.

But, i still can't send or receive mail from outside ?

Now, i can received email from other mail like Yahoo, Gmail, etc.

But, still can't send email to outside.

I think, because my server can't reach port 25 like :
telnet 74.125.24.27 25
trying 74.125.24.27 25 . . .

And the connection timed out, can you give me advise to enable my port 25 ?

127.0.0.1 only for these ports are CORRECT with default iRedMail settings. Why do you want them to be listened on public ip (this is wrong)?

Port 25 must be open to communicate with other mail servers. Please check your iptables firewall, your network firewall devices, also make sure your ISP doesn't block port 25.

I have set up the iRedadmin and Roundcube using the docker. I have created the two users and can able to send and get the message, also I can also send the message from my users to others like Gmail, Yahoo but unfortunately, I can't get the message from Gmail and Yahoo. It shows address not found. How can I fix the issue??
