Hi support

I have installated the ultimate version of the iredmail on the debian 9.
the installation has been successful; I created a user and repeatedly checked the password. On all clients, I get the wrong username or password. How can I solve this big problem?

I can log in with sogo but if I use Thunderbird I continue to receive incorrect username or password. as username for example marco.pirola@passioneinformatica.eu

IMAP port 143 with STARTTLS, SMTP port 587 with STARTTLS. These are correct.

How did you create this mail user?

*) According to Dovecot debug log, it successfully got the user info and password. so the account was successfully created.
*) Does Thunderbird work if you stop iptables firewall on iRedMail server? Do you have any firewall devices site between your laptop/Thunderbird and iRedMail server?

on the mail server the iptables rules are the standard ones created by the iredmail script during the installation. There is no firewall on the client

What's the error message in Thunderbird and Dovecot log file now?

*) if same username/password works with SOGo, that means password is correct.
*) There's no firewall devices between your server and Thunderbird, and Dovecot had related log of thunderbird connection attempts, so network is ok.

In this case, Thunderbird is expected to work.

With web mail accessed name.surname @passioneinformatica.eu. With all e-mail accounts I get my username and password. Name without @passioneinformatica.eu
