Topic: new install username and password not working

- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): mysql
- Web server (Apache or Nginx):Nginx
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro?
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

New install of iRedMail.
I typed in exactly the username and password from the iRedMail.tips and it says wrong username or password
How do I correct this?

*) Did you notice any error on console/terminal during iRedMail installation?
*) Try to reset user password and try again. FYI:

For some reason I don't see a vmail database trying to follow the SQL reset password directions:

MariaDB [(none)]> USE root;
ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database 'root'
MariaDB [(none)]> USE vmail;
ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database 'vmail'
MariaDB [(none)]> show databases

Your first post says you're running MySQL backend, if yes, "vmail" database is required.
Seems your installation was not succeeded.

*) Did you notice any error on console/terminal during iRedMail installation?
*) if you cannot get the console output now, i'm afraid that you may need to reinstall server OS, then install iRedMail again.

You can close this topic.
I went back and looked at my .tips file and noticed I misspelled my domain name.

Is that an easy thing to fix or should I start over?
