Emails containing audio files are being blocked, not sure why. Any support is appreciated.

Do you have setting $banned_namepath_re in /etc/amavisd/amavisd.conf like below?

Yes, my config does have this path.

As I was reviewing this file at (/etc/amavisd/amavisd.conf) I did notice and remove mp3 from the 2 lists.

I may have jumped the gun and hope this is a correct configuration.

I did a test and the test was positive and the mp3 was delivered as expected.

My only concern is this a correct configuration?

It's correct. If the file extension was blocked, you can remove it to unblock it.
