May I ask if I can delete old files from this path:
/var/vmail/backup/mysql

Can I just retain the most latest backup lets say 3 months?

Re: Backup Folder in VAR

By default, files older than 90 days will be deleted if you have cron job active to run backup_mysql.sh. Old folders seem to stay there, even though the actual files inside them will be removed.

You can also manually delete files if the cron job isn't active.

Yes.

If you're running a very old iRedMail release, the backup script /var/vmail/backup/backup_mysql.sh doesn't support removing old backup files, you may want to download the latest version and replace the old one.

Note: it requires file ~/.my.cnf, so that you don't need to store mysql password in the "backup_mysql.sh".
